Paola & Ricardo's Intimate Wedding in Ottawa by Joey Rudd Photography

Paola & Ricardo were married on a windy day in April. Freezing rain and snow were in the forecast, but nothing would stop these two from getting married outside in among the trees at the Arboretum. Ricardo's mother and sister even came all the way from Mexico for the special event! Keith from Exceptional Ceremonies performed the official ceremony and then the three of us hiked through the park for some photos of the two of them. It was wonderful to celebrate with these two in such an intimate way!

Shoot and Share Photo Contest

Every year, I submit some photos to an international contest called Shoot and Share. This year there were 412,379 photos submitted to the contest (yeah, that's half of a million)!
In a contest this large I submit mostly just for fun, and enjoy seeing many other beautiful photos and don't expect to rank too high overall. However, this year, I was excited to see that I had 17 images in the top 20% including 9 in the top 10% and 5 finalists!
Below I have shared the 5 finalist, all of which are double exposures. To be honest, most of the photos I submitted to the contest were double exposures.

Michelle & Kurt's Intimate Wedding by Joey Rudd Photography

Whenever a couple invites me into their life to document as intimate an event as their wedding I am honoured. When said event is in their home with only a handful of friends and family present I feel even more honoured to be trusted to be there. This was the case with Michelle and Kurt and their beautifully private wedding inside their home in Ottawa a couple of weeks ago. Their incredibly lovely home, with it's roof-top terrace was the perfect place for their intimate wedding. Here are a few photos from their day.
