Tessa & Thierry's Halloween Elopement by Joey Rudd Photography

Tessa & Thierry were married on Halloween this year. It was a small, intimate ceremony with just a few friends. The date just worked out in their planning, but it was convenient that they are also both big horror fans. There couldn’t have been a more perfect (and slightly spooky) setting for their lovely wedding. Rustic, abandoned barns, hay lofts, and corn fields, broken windows, foggy weather, and pitch forks- the only thing missing to make a classic film were some meat hooks.

2019 Highlights

2019 has been a fantastic year (so far!) , full of amazing people and beautiful events. It took us to many places and to so many fantastic venues like Evermore, Strathmere, Le Belvédère, Mill Street, Lago, The Chateau Laurier and so many more! A huge thank you to all of the incredible couples who trusted me to document their wedding this year! Here are a few highlights!

Lindsay & Amaan's Wedding at Lago in Ottawa

When I first met with Lindsay & Amaan to discuss their wedding as they were considering me for the photographer of their wedding I could tell that they were an awesome couple. At their engagement session I caught a glimpse of how cute they are together, but it was at their wedding that it was my privilege to witness and see how perfect they are for each other. Fun, down-to-earth, funny, and just all around awesome people to work with!
Their wedding was at Lago Bar and Grill at Dows Lake in Ottawa. There, surrounded by so many people who love them, they tied the knot and partied into the night. It was fun to have Ryan from Rubicon Photography join me for the day. He is incredibly talented and has an eye for interesting angles that I love.
