Eleanorah May Rudd!
On Saturday, our daughter Eleanorah May ("Norah" is what we are planning to call her) was born. Here are some photos from this exciting time.
Watercoulour & Graphite by Joey Rudd
I can't take all the credit for this piece as I had some major inspiration from Skia. I wanted to do something interesting on a notebook that I had and this was the result. I was experimenting some more with adding in some interest with the watercolour.

Watercolour & Graphite by Joey Rudd
This was my second attempt at this style of artwork. I am pretty happy with how it turned out- which, as most artists can attest to, can be a pretty rare thing. This one I have called "The Lumberjack" it was done with watercolour and graphite. I entertained the idea of using tea for some of the colouring, but I wasn't thrilled with the colour it was making in this specific situation. Perhaps next time I will try that instead and actually stick to it. Perhaps.

Watercolour & Charcoal by Joey Rudd
This was my first attempt at a style of art that I appreciate. Although typically I prefer the results of watercolour and ink rather than charcoal (perhaps I will try that next time). Maybe I will try it with tea instead of watercolour sometime as well. I couldn't decided if I liked it better in colour or black and white.
